more dub lions

turns out ive got a residency at the dub lions night at the slug and lettuce first Thursday of every month, which is really cool, as there all really nice guys and put on a great night, the aim is to mix art hiphop and dub to create a great creative atmosphere, something that there atcheaving slowly but surely and i predict that within the year it will be one of the best nights in the city, anyway if your an artist and want to come down, im sure we can find some space for you, or if you just fance a look see and a dance, you will be pleasantly surprised, anyway heres a few picks of the art and a few picks of the croud to wet your apatites, oh yeah i forgot to mention the buy 1 get 1 free on cocktails, and 2 quid a pint as well, not bad man, not bad.

collaberation nation

ive been involved with the collaberation nation group on facebook, its a postal arts jam, where you draw a peice on an a3 peice of paper and send it on to the next address, its going well so far and ide like to share with you the results so far

 this is my first piece that i started:

i totally love it, i cant wait to see what happens to it next

DUB LIONS

first time painting at the slug, i drink in the quite often so it was cool to do something up ther, but also it was for a realy wicked lil dub night, im deffinatly gunna be doing some more stuff with these guys,

the stall

ahh this was a lot of effort but it was totally worth it, and without jaymz grassy knoll, and cellar tapes, Clive and Alex for building the stall and basically for making it look awesome, much fun was had by all

the pitch was good as well, it was right by the second stage, where on the first day we had acoustic and stand up all day, and on the Sunday it was ultra Vegas, who i remember form being about 17 lol, so that was pretty cool. 

it was also soo good to meet up with more mk writers and a big thanks to every1 who came down to paint

i found a couple of trilobites i forgot about, whitch reminds me, i need 2 get back on that evolution again

squidge called me up at like 6.30 and said do i wanna come and paint summit, i said i had no money, he said awh cummon, so i found every 2p and 1p in my house and called my friend who i talked into getting a lift via tesco so i could use the change robot to count it all for me and got ther, thank god squidge got me a couple of cans aswell els i would have been screwed hehe

but ye it was an dope night as always ther, i swear its the best bar in the city and if you havent been then you should totaly go,

as i said im down with the dirty lil arthole, and whatever they want to do, so yeah i did this piece and i quite liked it, one of the girls behind the bar bought it, so thanks allot to hear, because thank god, i was able to get home.
ive noticed tho, it seems drawing all these prints has got me better at drawing, and now i have some kind of story behind them all, its making me draw better, anyway heres the pic:

ye sorry, this is all in  a bit of a strange order, im working on a new way to post things, insted of rambeling on and linking everything into one big blog, im gunna try to post one subject/event at a time, so more posts and more piks, and less introduction, ok maybe not right this second, but defo in the future anyway…

Peterborough over ground arts fest.

i managed to get my good frend to drive me ther wich was totaly awsome, and it was kinda like a proper road trip, the weather was (and i know judgeing by the pic above it looks quite nice) but it was  really pissing it down, all the way ther, and when we got ther the place looked a bit sodden and miserable,

ther were a few artists ther milling about wondering if therd even get chance to paint it was that bad, so we waited… like for a couple of hours, me and mclive had a wander round town in the rain, and then we had a look round the cathedral witch was a mighty impressive building by anyones standards take a look….

damnit cant find the pic from the cathederal… nevermind ill show you another day

so ye when we got back from sight seeing, the organisers had come up with a plan and were dragging boards undercover ready for us to paint, and after some lifting by us all, got everyone ther sorted for a space, thank god, but then after about 2pm the sun came out and the hole place suddenly looked great and everyone was able to carry on.

anyway i got an 8x4 to play with, and managed to put up my freshly made stencil (the night before)

anyway this is my piece

turned out alright i think, not to bad for my second attempt at doing a large scale stencil, i defo learned allot, like for instance, i realy need to start using thicker paper or card to make these things, as the first layer destroyed its self in the wind, so i had to piece it back together on the fly, wich was kinda hard work, and made it really dificalt to do the other layers

but yes anyway i was happy

the place tho was a really nice space, lots of fruit n veg growing around the site, and me an mclive had quite a long look at it all, heres a bunch of pics i robbed off of ther facebook page

but yeah skipping to the end, ther was a realy good quality of art going on ther, and it was nice to be invited back for ther next jam, cant wait
